On March 5, 2010 Cornerstone hosted a business breakfast with a panel of Grand Rapids professionals. Students and businessmen and women attended the event. The featured panelists at the event were (Left to right) John Bultema, president of Fifth Third Bank of West Michigan; Maureen Girkins, president of Zondervan; Chico Daniels, president of Mel Trotter Ministries; and Mick McGraw, president of Eastbrook Builders.



Carl Hermann works on creating a stained glass American flag in his basement workshop. Hermann is 91 year old and has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, but he does not let that stop him from doing what he loves. He hopes to make 17 of these small flags to give to family and friends after he dies.

Butterflies like this monarch fly free at the Frederick Meijer Gardens butterfly exhibit in Grand Rapids, Mich. Open from March 1 through April 30, it is the largest temporary butterfly exhibit in the nation.


Models strut their stuff to benefit the Center for Women in Transition at A Night of Fashion. The night included a silent auction, live entertainment, and a fashion show exhibiting the latest spring fashions from local Grand Haven stores. Participating stores included Michigan Rag, Aberdeen's Children's Clothing, Purple Rose, and Dockside.


Emma Kelly and Paul Ochoa celebrate a snowy Valentine’s Day. The couple met during high school and they have been together for five years.


Cub Scout Pack 3032 of Robinson Township celebrates the 100th year of scouting at their yearly Blue and Gold Banquet. The scouts toss numbered ping pong balls to determine which tables could line up for dinner first.



Every August the city of Grand Haven fills with tourists and U.S coast guard affiliates for a coast guard festival. The Lake Michigan town receives coast guard ships from all over the nation for the occasion.
